Well, that’s the news doing the rounds of tinsel town since the time Salman’s look from Veer is out. Apparently that’s not the only aspect similar in the film, Salman’s warrior look in Suryavanshi is pretty similar to Veer.

Well the director Anil Sharma has agreed with the fact that the look is a bit similar and that might be the reason for associating his film with Suryavanshi. Veer has been in the news from the time it has been announced.

When asked about the similarity between the two films, director Anil Sharma said “Even I have heard about it. I haven’t seen Suryavanshi so can’t comment on it. As far as Veer is concerned it is a period film set in the 18th century. It is not inspired by any film. It’s an original story written by Salman.”

Interestingly Veer’s producer Vijay Galani produced Suryavanshi in 1992. Reacting to speculation about Veer being a remake of Suryavanshi, he retorts “How can I make a remake of a flop film. I am quite happy that my film is getting a lot of publicity and attention by the media. We have shot a song and will start shooting from the 25th of this November. I will wrap it in April.”

Well, we can only wait and see if Veer stands out to be original…
