With DASVIDANIYA Vinay surpasses himself!
Apart from BHEJA FRY, two of Vinay Pathak’s best performances recently have been as a cop in MANORAMA–SIX FEET UNDER and a gambler in JOHNNY GADDAR.
However, the discerning audiences who have watched DASVIDANIYA feel that Vinay Pathak has equaled, if not surpassed his best performances. He is simply superb in the emotional sequences. It seems like Pathak’s on–screen persona of an affable character has really touched the hearts and given moist eyes to everyone, including the harshest critics. Most have gone overboard in showering genuine praises on the actor and co–producer of the film.
While on DASVIDANIYA, the movie has seen huge critical acclaim and a reasonably decent start against a very formidable opposition like DOSTANA. What also works in DASVIDANIYA’s favour is its modest budget of 3.5 crores despite exotic foreign locales, which means that its reasonable start along with a good word of mouth will definitely see the film succeed at the ticket window.
